| AIAA- Bridging the Generation Gap in the Aerospace & Defense Industry | |
| Workforce Transformation is a powerful method to achieve a dynamic competitive advantage for companies. However, transforming a workforce is a complex endeavor that covers the entire life-cycle for employees from K-6 Education through retirement. The presentation will explain specific actions that can be taken to address the problem and allow a firm to leverage the multiple generations in their workforce and grow their talent pool. Mike Louie is a Senior Manager in Hitachi Consulting’s Aerospace and Defense practice. Mike was a part of the national team that created the Workforce Transformation Industry Solution, contributed to industry surveys by Aberdeen and Gartner, managed multiple projects and is currently the Engagement Manager at an aerospace client in Southern California and the primary Subject Matter Expert on multiple pursuits both local and national. Prior to coming to Hitachi Consulting, Mike spent 15 years in the Aerospace Industry in various positions with Space Vector Corporation, the U.S. Navy, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. Mike is also the recipient of an AIAA Special Service Award for his contributions with an Apollo XI 40th anniversary event featuring Buzz Aldrin. | |
