Philadelphia Engineering Foundation

02/28/12
Since 1967, the Philadelphia Engineering Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, has been the charitable arm of the Engineers’ Club of Philadelphia (a 501(c)6 trade association). Membership in the Foundation and its Board is contingent on membership in the Club.

The Foundation administers several awards and scholarships as part of Delaware Valley Engineers Week. This provides a 501(c)3 tax deduction to individuals contributing to these awards. For more information on these awards, visit the DVEW website .

Thanks to an in-kind grant from IBM, the Foundation has recently developed a student outreach website to provide information about engineering and engineering programs for K-12 students as well as college and university level programs for parents, students, educators, and the general public. The site is still being populated with programs, but you can check it out at Discover Engineering in Greater Philadelphia.

The Foundation is continuing to expand its efforts in student outreach and to provide a means for charitable contributions for this effort.

For more information or to make a contribution, contact Eric Flicker, PE, President or Susan Best, PE, Executive Director.
