Secondary School Award Nominations Deadline December 10
While the nominations have closed for the DVEW awards to practicing engineers and engineering students, there is still time for the awards for perspective engineering students and math and science teachers, as well as to recognize awardees honored by the various regional engineering and technical societies. The deadline for the Outstanding Math and Science Teachers and High School Student nominations are due December 10, 2012; the deadline for submitting information for the Affiliate Award Recognition Program is January 15, 2013. . All the award recipients will be recognized at the Awards Luncheon
on February 15, 2013 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Philadelphia.
Outstanding High School Student Award: Two $1,000 scholarships are available for outstanding high school seniors who plan to enter the engineering field. Applications are available here.
Outstanding Math and Science Teachers: Awards for one math teacher and one science teacher, teaching in grades 6-12 in the Delaware Valley available to recognize teachers who have demonstrated an exceptional ability to reach and teach students. Applications are available here.
Affiliate Award Recognition Program: In addition, to celebrate all engineering disciplines, we will recognize those projects or individuals who have been honored by the various technical societies over the past year (since 2012 Engineers Week) as Project or Engineer / Member of the Year or similar designation as part of the Affiliate Award Recognition Program. Information on these awards is due January 15, 2013.The submission form is available here.
