Abstract Summary:
As engineers, our roles often require long-range planning, project management and advanced math skills to help achieve project or corporate goals. While our course work teaches us how to manage the company’s money, it rarely includes information on personal financial planning and learning how to invest our own money for the future. This skill is something not taught in school, but vital for personal financial security.
This seminar will explore the basics of personal financial planning, including tips and tricks to get started investing, and will also include up-to-date information for investing during these challenging times.
The AIChE Delaware Valley Section is proud to organize this Financial Planning Seminar in partnership with Merrill Lynch. Carl Gordinier has agreed to share his thoughts on effective planning for personal financial security. Carl has managed portfolios since 1993 and was recently recognized as “Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor” for 2019 and 2020. Carl also holds several industry designations, including the Certified Financial Planner certification and the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation. He is based in Paoli, PA.
