Course Overview: Lighting: We install it everywhere. On hard ceilings and in suspended ceilings. Indoors and out. In dry, damp, and wet locations. Some have built-in connection areas; others require a box to be provided. Luminaires for general illumination and luminaires for emergency egress. This class will review the basics and delve into many lesser known code requirements associated with luminaires (lighting). The student will learn about the many NEC requirements that pertain to the installation of lighting in various occupancies and for various purposes.
