In collaboration with the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE), Young Professionals in Energy (YPE) is seeking volunteers to assist in moderating and speaking at the annual Blacks in Energy Awareness Month event. This year,BEAM Weekwill be held virtually and span across 3 days, from Nov 17th-19th. Discussion points will include STEM/IT, Trades, and College Prep/Finance. Event Overview: “BEAM Week” will be held virtually via Zoom, where we will host three1-hour sessions during the week of November 16th.

Q: What is BEAM?
A:Each year during Black Energy Awareness Month, also known as BEAM, in communities around the country, our national chapters celebrate the great contributions of minorities, students and professionals and discuss the important role energy plays in our daily lives.
Q: What should I expect as a Moderator?
A:Moderator willopen and close the workshop session, introduce the presenter(s), pose questions as necessary and take questions from the attendees via the chat box.
Q: What should I expect as a Speaker?
A:Speakerswill relate their experienceon the relevanttopic. We’re seekingyoung professionals and/or recent college grads - individuals who can relate to upcoming high school seniors.
