Viridity Energy Solutions develops battery energy storage projects & software for utilities and energy consumers to interact proactively and productively with the electric grid to minimize electricity costs. The tour will include an overview of the software solutions Viridity offers, as well as a visit to the Network Operations Center.
Battery storage has beenparticularlyhot inenergynews with the FERC recently issuing orders on ISO compliance filings for Order 841 to removebarriersfor electric storage resources to participate in all RTO/ISO markets. In PJM alone, nearly 14.6 gigawatts of storageandcombined storage capacity is scheduled to come online between now and 2024.
