ULI PHL COMMUNITY & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL PRESENTS
A Decade of Retail – Rebuilding to Recovery
|
|
November 24, 2020 | 9:30 - 11:00 am EST | Webinar
In 2009, Philadelphia was facing high retail vacancy rates across the city, including in Center City and along West Philadelphia’s 52nd Street corridor. Through collaborative and intentional efforts, those conditions improved, while current circumstances threaten some of those gains. Hear how leaders are developing new strategies and tools to reposition these submarkets, how businesses are pivoting to offer more essential sets of goods, and what the winter months could mean for retailers and restaurants.
Panelists include:
- Jesse Blitzstein, The Enterprise Center
- Paige Jaffe, JLL Philadelphia
- Paul Levy, Center City District
- Dawn Summerville, Philadelphia Department of Commerce
- Moderated by:Catherine Timko,The Riddle Company
