The course will describe the overall operation of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and the functionality of each sub-section including rectifier/charger, inverters, static switches, and maintenance bypass. It will also describe UPS configurations (single module, parallel for capacity and/or redundancy). The topic will also include battery technology and battery protection time since the battery system is an integral part of the UPS.
The discussion will be focused on 3-phase UPS systems rated from 20 kVA to 3000 kVA.
PDH certificates are available and an evaluation form will be emailed to you after the meeting. PDH certificate are sent by IEEE USA 3-4 weeks after the meeting.
