Overhead Utility Engineering Practices, Guidelines and CasesPresentation (1 PDH)
A presentation to provide a general overview of overhead utility components from base of utility pole to top of circuits. Basic anatomy of pole, standard clearance requirements, and unique cases as it pertains to overhead utilities in New Jersey and major agencies like NJDOT and NJTA.
Speakers:Luis Gaitan, PE, HNTB Corporation.
Luis Gaitan has been working for HNTB as a Transportation Engineering for 9 years. Luis specifically focuses on Utility and Right of Way Engineering. He has coordinated major underground and overhead relocations for multiple agencies. Luis is the current Secretary for the New Jersey Chapter of the Utility Engineering and Surveying Institute (UESI) and member of the UESI National Subcommittee for guidelines for Utility Engineering for Municipalities.
