How to accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship in
engineering and the sciences

Abstract: We live in a time of rapid technological transformation driven by emerging scientific discoveries and engineering capabilities. Society faces numerous challenges for which we seek solutions in innovation. To meet this need we must expand the pipeline of innovation and innovators and enable the rapid movement of emerging technologies from the idea stage to realized products and solutions for society.
In this engaging and informative talk Phil Weilerstein, the Founding CEO of VentureWell will discuss approaches that work in activating nascent innovators, supporting idea stage innovations and catalyzing the next generation of critical solutions in areas such as clean energy, sustainable materials and equitable healthcare technologies. Based on three decades of work supporting innovation ecosystems and working with science and technology funders this talk will explore effective ways to rapidly advance emerging innovations and a diverse and robust pipeline of emerging innovators and entrepreneurs.
