Description:
The I-95 Central Access Philadelphia (CAP) is a transformative project aiming to reconnect Old City Philadelphia to the Delaware River Waterfront using an 11-acre park spanning over I-95 and Christopher Columbus Boulevard. The park features a multi-story café building and a 363’ long by 614’ wide bridge, which carries amenities such as a pavilion structure, signature breezeway structure, playground, ice skating rink, memorial statues, and a vast tree canopy. This presentation will provide an overview of the park structural design and review several of its unique and complex elements.
