Course Overview
Code Overlaps
This course is an introduction for electricians on how other codes, standards, and provisions affect installations subject to the requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC®). Examples include those located in NEC® Article 300 for fire-rated assemblies, and structural integrity, as well as systems such as emergency systems, and fire alarm systems. Likewise, building codes, mechanical codes and energy codes often reference the NEC® for compliance with requirements specific to other areas such as means of egress illumination, gas pipe bonding, and energy conservation. A thorough understanding of how the provisions of all codes and standards work with each other is required for a complete code compliant installation.
Common Violations and Dwelling Unit Correct Installations
This comprehensive course is designed to equip electrical contractors with the knowledge and skills needed to identify and rectify common electrical code violations. Through a combination of informative slide presentations and in-depth discussions, participants will gain a thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and its practical application.
