Perception and Control for Autonomous Flying Robots
Speaker: Dr. Camillo J. Taylor, Raymond S. Markowitz President's Distinguished Professor, Computer and Information Science Department, Grasp Lab, University of Pennsylvania
This talk we will describe the work we have done at Penn on developing high performance, vision guided, flying robots that are capable of operating autonomously in GPS denied indoor and outdoor environments. We will describe some of the core perception and planning problems that are associated with these kinds of robotic platforms and discuss the hardware systems and algorithms that we developedto achieve the required levels of autonomy on our smaller scale flying robots.
