January 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM
This is a reminder that DVRPC is hosting an information session on January 14, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. about our new program and funding opporunity -- the Travel Options Program (TOP). Visit the TOP webpage and attend the TOP Information Session. If you are unable to attend, a recording of the webinar and presentation slides will be posted to the TOP webpage following the session.
DVRPC is excited to announce TOP: Travel Options Program. We are seeking creative and practical ideas from nonprofits (such as Community Development Corporations), government organizations (such as county agencies, municipalities, Business Improvement Districts), for-profit organizations (private firms), and transit agencies that will reduce the number of single occupancy vehicles - people driving alone to work, school, entertainment venues, or to run errands - on the region’s roadways.
DVRPC’s program will fund several ideas that respond to the goals, outcomes, and strategies established in A New Route to Better Travel for All: The Regional TDM Plan. The Plan identifies goals that address improving air quality, equity, reliability, affordability, and freedom to choose travel options.
Amount and Source of Funding
If your idea is selected, your organization will be asked to submit a more detailed proposal for a project budget that should be at a minimum of $50,000 and cannot exceed $500,000. The successful project will be funded through the federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) program and requires a nonfederal match.
How do you submit your idea?
Please fill out a short and easy expression of interest form. All forms must be submitted no later than Friday, January 22, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. If your idea is selected, you will be asked to submit a longer proposal with more details, including a timeline and a budget. The full proposal will be due by March 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.Funding for projects will be determined based on the full proposals.
