Description

The National Electrical Code (NEC®), which is revised every three years, has included many new requirements to enhance the reliability and safety of Emergency Power Systems that provide egress lighting and maintain the operation of equipment essential for personnel safety within buildings.

Objectives

  • Describe the differences between Articles 700. 701 and 702 in the 1993 NEC®and in the 2020 NEC®
  • Outline the cost implications that owner’s will be faced with when retrofitting their 35 year old buildings
