Description:
As infrastructure ages, engineers face the challenge of extending the lifespan of existing structures while ensuring safety and efficiency. Fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs) have emerged as a transformative solution, offering high strength-to-weight ratios, corrosion resistance, and versatility in reinforcing concrete, steel, and masonry structures. This presentation will explore the principles and practical applications of FRPs in structural strengthening, highlighting their role in retrofitting projects and load-bearing capacity enhancement.
